Meet the Dream Team: Iain Drennan

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is Iain’s second production for the Sevenoaks Shakespeare Society, following various acting stints at school and university, including roles in Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. Last year he made his debut as “patient log man” extraordinaire Ferdinand in the Tempest. Before that, he wrote and starred in the British Embassy Kabul’s pantomime, A Christmas Kabul, bringing much needed cross dressing, double entendres and audience participation to the Afghan war. Since he got the part, Iain has been told by more than one person he has a “good face for Puck”. He’s not quite sure how to take that. His two and five year old daughters have been busy giving him detailed instruction in how to be mischievous, wilful and maddening in preparation for the role.
