We had a wonderful evening. Again well done! There was some fine acting and some memorable directorial flourishes. Helena with her mascara awry and one shoe off was very funny, as was making Bottom a policeman. The whole crowd of them were funny as they came down the field – one of them with a dog with unreal stage presence, muttering surreal nonsense. Robin Goodfellow’s accent added to the comedy. Peter Quilp made a great bloke! I think the Bard, looking down indulgently, would have loved it – and been touched that, cen turies later, we still love his play and still want to watch it in midsummer in an English garden! Well done! Please pass on thanks and congratulations to the whole cast and crew for a really great evening, fun and very well done, and obviously took a lot of hard work! (Carolyn, Friday )
Just to let you know how much Paul and I enjoyed MND last night. Stand out performances from Helena and Puck but a coherent magical whole thanks to some brilliant directing. Location and weather combined too to make it an unforgettable experience and one of the best MNDs I’ve seen (and I’ve seen a few!). Thanks therefore to all the crew and cast. Sarah (Thursday)
Just to thank you on behalf of myself, Jill & our 6 friends for arranging our discounted tickets for last evening.
We all much enjoyed the play, what a super setting for it. Please pass on our congratulations to the cast and production team.
4 of us last saw MSND in Regents Park in 1986 and seeing it again last night made a great deal more sense than it had the first time around!!!
Kind regards (Peter led one of the Probus groups who came)
Just a rather belated note to say how good I thought the MND was at White Rock. I have seen quite a few over the years and this one was definitely up there with the best ones for fun and enjoyment! Hope you had an equally good run at St Briavels.
